ON-GOING HYDRO-CARBON & NUCLEAR CATASTROPHES: KILLING CETACEANS & OURSELVES

NOTE FROM JEFF:  With this new oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, home of over 10,000 oil wells and already ecologically devastated in the after-math of the BP debacle that began in April 2010, it's got to be PAINFULLY CLEAR to any awake and thinking person that THE WHOLE PETROLEUM THING IS KILLING US ALL. And not JUST petroleum, although the personal automobile and individual hydro-carbon gluttony is the single greatest way that PEOPLE IN GENERAL ARE WAGING WAR ON THE EARTH...not just the military-industrial complex. They are just giving us what we constantly demand. The whales and dolphins of New Zealand in particular are currently greatly endangered by exploding seismic testing, off-shore drilling and 'covert' military or 'hazardous' operations. New Zealand has...or it will soon be 'had'...one of the greatest diversities and populations of cetaceans of anywhere in the world.  Meanwhile unrelenting and on-going release of radio-nuclides are completely killing off the Pacific ocean...the amounts are so large that now we need figures like 'yotta-becquerels' to describe the quantity of ionizing radiation. A yotta is 10 to the 24th power, or 10 followed by 24 zeroes.  This is a HUGE ECOLOGICAL IMPACT AND KARMIC DEBT to bestow on the miniscule number of human grand-children who may miraculously survive these times...but the long-term survival of ANYONE is not for sure, and the way it's going, the probability gets less and less every day.

I would like to recommend that you take the time to read the following five articles, three of which I personally wrote. They paint a clear picture of what is happening globally and in especially in New Zealand concerning the danger of 'digging precious things from the land', the entire hydro-carbon/petroleum industry and addiction, and its IMMEDIATE threat to the health and well-being of whales, dolphins and all marine life.

Massive deep-water exploratory drilling is well under way all over New Zealand's EEZ. This process is damaging enough, with the seismic testing being a major threat to cetaceans; but once the rigs are in place and the holes drilled, there is no turning back. EVERY OIL WELL is a potential ecological catastrophe like BP-Gulf of Mexico and now this new one.

This article describes massive on-going release of radio-nuclides from Fukushima which are contaminating the entire Pacific ocean and beyond.  This information is only partially accurate, however;  Woods Hole is basically a subsidiary of the U.S. Navy, who is the single largest nuclear entity on the planet.  These figures should have several more zeroes in order to be more accurate.  In addition, this figure is for Cesium-137, which is only ONE of almost 2000 synthetic radio-nuclides coming out of Fukushima. There would be approximately the same order of quantity of each of these substances coming out as well...not to mention the 'daughter products' created from the constant decay of each of these radio-nuclides.
